This weekend Beverley RUFC host Morley and will be looking for revenge for the narrow defeat they suffered at the hands of Morley back in October last year. They will go into the game with confidence having racked up 106 points against 5 in their last game against Durham City.
However, they will be under no illusion about the size of their task, Morley themselves will be smarting from their defeat by Cleckheaton last Saturday, a defeat which ended their recent run of form and which is also a set-back to their promotion hopes. If they hope to re-kindle them they must win on Saturday.
For their part the Beavers will be going all out to widen the gap at the top of the table They are currently 13 points clear of Wheatley Hills, who are in second place and 15 clear of Morley (3rd) There are seven games left. Head Coach, Anthony Posa commented;
“We have been looking forward to this fixture for a while, so I’m confident our work ethic will be spot on this week – its mixing that energy with a higher-quality accuracy with our decision making that will be key.”
Beverley have the usual one or two injuries but are confident of selecting from a near full-strength squad when they name their team on Friday morning.
