Beverley RUFC resume their league programme with a visit to Keighley on Saturday, needing only 2 points to secure the championship and promotion back to the National Leagues.
Keighley will be no pushover however since they are currently fourth from the bottom of the table and are themselves battling to avoid relegation.
Head Coach Anthony Posa said today,
“It is difficult to understand why Keighley are in the position that they are.”
“When we played them at Beaver Park last November we won comfortably in the end but they were definitely one of the best organised sides that we have met and, only towards the end of the game were we able to impose ourselves.”
“They will be very keen to prevent us settling the championship at their expense and we expect a hard game.”
“We have practically a full squad to select from but, as usual, I want to see that several bumps and bruises have cleared up before making the final selection on Thursday night.”
