The PJ Livesey Group has been named as the preferred bidder to develop the Beverley Westwood Hospital site in Beverley.
Clark Weightman, Chartered Surveyors (acting as the selling agent on behalf of Humber NHS Foundation Trust) invited bids by informal tender from potential buyers and all bids were thoroughly evaluated before the preferred developer was selected.
The sale will be subject to PJ Livesey obtaining full planning permission for the site from East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The company, based in the North West, specialises in the restoration and sensitive redevelopment of listed building sites and bespoke new build.
Georgina Livesey, a director with PJ Livesey, said: “As a respected conservation developer we have vast experience of working on historic sites and are delighted to have been selected for Beverley Westwood.
“We also deliver high quality new build homes in keeping with the listed building and sensitive to the environment and wider area.
“Our desire now is to consult closely with the local council and the community on the best possible plans to bring this important site back into use.”
