Hull City supporters will have to wait until next Saturday to see whether the Tigers will make the Premier League after they were held at home by Bristol City.
Over 18,000 expectant supporters were at the KC Stadium as they took on Bristol City who have already been relegated.
In game that lacked any clear chances for either side Hull City’s best opportunity to score came deep into stoppage time at the end of the game, but they failed to make it count.
Hull City have never gained promotion to England’s top division via an automatic promotion and should they do so it will arguably be their greatest achievement in the club’s 109 year history.
City next go to South Yorkshire to face Barnsley with their final match being against the Championship leaders Cardiff at the KC Stadium.
