Beverley Races With A Touch Of Drizzle

Beverley Racecourse hosted their second meeting of the season with a seven-card fixture list.

Not sure of how the weather would pan out I opted to shoot the day from outside the rail and wandered up into the course late on to soak of some of the atmosphere.

On the track La Sylphe trained by Derek Shaw and ridden by Franny Norton was the first of the winners as the drizzle began to fall.

Paul Hanagan on Shebebi and Joe Fanning, on Fennell Bay also both registered wins in the first half of the meeting.

The next time horse racing will take place  at the Westwood course is on May 9th, which promises to be a be a good family day out.
