Beverley Town U10s shared the spoils with Hedon Rangers as they won their first match but were beaten in their second game.
It was Eddies Woods that scored the all-important goal in match one after some good work by James Newell. Town worked hard and defended well to secure all the points.
The second game was a different story. A slow start by Town proved costly as they went two goals behind early on.
Matty Rice gave the home side hope when he popped up to finish giving Town a lifeline. They almost got back on level terms but Ben Wilkinson that had played well all game was unlucky not to see his effort go in.
Manager Ed Grady said;
“Both sides played some good entertaining football in very difficult conditions. I thought we were unlucky not to get a draw in the second match.”
Beverley Town returns to Hull Boys Sunday Football League action next weekend when they face AFC Tickton Warriors.
