Beverley 10K : Gareth Jones Sets New PB

Gareth Jones was one of the many runners who took part in the weekend’s Hall Construction Group Beverley 10K.

The overall race was won by Phillip Tedd of Sale Harriers but local lad Gareth set a new personal best over the course with a time of 50:38.

Gareth in the process of completing 12 races in 12 months as he looks to raise money for Dove House Hospice, the charity chosen by his company Eurofit as their charity of the month.

When asked how he found the race Gareth said;

“This was another really well organised event by Beverley AC; this is the second time I have taken part in the Beverley 10K and thanks to my training. I achieved a much better time.”

Gareth also thinks the event has got better too, he added;

“It was really handy not having to go to the Beverley Leisure Centre to collect your race chip; it also felt like there were a lot more people taking part but the crowds soon spread out!”
