Beverley Town Cricket Club 2nd XI beat Pickering by 3 wickets at Norwood Recreation Ground.
Chasing Pickering’s 161 all out (Steve Blake 3-44) Town were in some trouble at 54 for 4 (Tim Smith 14, Phil Du Boulay 24) but a partnership of 79 between Paul Best (39) and Alex Nightingale (32) put their side in a winning position.
There was still work to do and Chris Charles (15) and a composed unbeaten 14 by Matt Smith saw Town over the finishing line.
