Lydia Robinson Claims Sixth National Squash Title

Lydia Robinson Ranked Number One Girl At Squash

Beverley squash players Lydia Robinson (10), Ben Robinson (15) and Zac Toes (10) all achieved success at the Ilkley Junior Open on 11/12 May 2013.

Lydia who recently achieved the No1 England ranking for Girls U11, stepped up to U13 level to win her 6th national title of the season by securing a hard fought 3-1 win over Eve Perrin (Pontefract) in the final.

Ben achieved a well deserved 2nd place after beating local rivals Yusef Forster 3-1 and Matt Heap 3-0 before losing to U17 England No 42 Isaac Rawcliffe in the final.

After moving up the national U11 rankings from 82 in October 2012 to a season high 16 in May 2013, Toes celebrated his first national title by beating Sam Perrin (Pontefract), 11-6, 11-3, 11-2 in the final.

All players will be hoping for positive results in the Chapel Allerton Open (Leeds) next weekend before Toes and Robinson travel to Manchester to compete in the U11 National Championships on the 2/3 June.
