The Beverley Male Voice Choir have invited Mrs Ann Christie to be their new President for the next 2 years, which is the first time that they have invited a former President to take over the office.
Ann, who first became President in 20000, was the first lady to be appointed as the President of the Choir and will take over the roll from the well known local Beverley business man, Mr Phillip Smith.
He will hand over the chain of office at the “invitation only” concert by the Choir for it’s Patron’s, on the 20th May in Toll Gavel Church at 7-00pm following which, the Choir will perform a short concert, at which the soprano soloist will be the Past Presidents wife, Mrs Helen Smith, and afterwards the Patrons will be served with light refreshments by the Choir members.
