Delaney Marling Partnership Highly Recommend YIBC

Beverley Chartered Building Surveyors on this year’s Yorkshire International Business Convention 2013 in Bridlington.

Following on from last year’s event, Simon Delaney from Delaney Marling Partnership (DMP) felt the event was so good, he closed the office so that the whole team could go along and recommends other small businesses consider doing the same for next year.

He explains:

“I went along last year and the quality of the speakers and the networking was brilliant so this year we felt it of value to our business to make sure we were there again this year and we were not disappointed.”

“My favourite speakers were: Professor Brian Cox who was great, even though his topic was a little technical, he managed to captivate his audience. David Weir, four times gold medallist at the London Paralympic games who has strong determination to succeed regardless of his disability.”

“He confidently opened questions to 700 delegates live on BBC Radio Humberside and David Miliband, who spoke openly (not always normal for politicians) about his thoughts on the current political/economic situation using some great statistics and factual information.”

“It has to be said the organisation of the event is fantastic considering there are 700 delegates to organise.”

“The main benefit for me though is that it’s an all round excellent event with a local theme which gets the audience buzzing about our region. We are now looking forward to seeing who the speakers will be next year and will book earlier to get better seats.”
