Rushby ‘Unlucky’ At Castle Combe

Rushby 'Unlucky' At Castle Combe

Round 7 of the NG Road racing championship took place at Castle Combe down in Wiltshire.

After his first race Jordan Rushby got off too a good start moving up to 4th place from his 6th place start off the grid. He managed to keep this position for the full race, earning a front row start in his race.

Race 2, with Rushby now starting from 4th place and more importantly front row on the grid, he got off to a brilliant start and moved up to first place, which he did keep for a few corners, but by the end off the first lap slipped back into to 3rd.

On the 2nd lap, Rushby settled into the race and took 2nd place back. He was now lapping consistently in the 1. 20s and kept 2nd place until the last lap.

With just two corners left Jordan was forced off the track as he avoided another rider who crashed out of the race. This forced Rushby to run off track, but he managed to stay on board the bike and get back on track.

The incident cost Rusby two places, which forced him back into 4th place, by the time he crossed the finish line.

Rushby couldn’t have done any-more, and was unlucky not to come away with another podium and some more valuable points towards the Championship.

This weekend’s results leave the Beverley rider in 7th place with 48 points.
