Beverley Town Cricket Club’s Ladies were well beaten at the Norwood Recreation Ground in the Northern Women’s League.
Beverley won the toss and decided to bat managed less than 100 runs. Opener Bethany Smith and lasted just two balls as Beverley got just 88, top scorer for this home side was Sarah McDowell with 25.
Vernon Carus CC made light work of reaching the target chasing down the required runs with ease ending on 90 for the loss of one wicket.

Watched a few games this summer and its good to see the young girls getting thier chance to play, if the girls who are ,14,15 and 16 can stick together in a few seasons Beverley will have a cracking team, the only way the young girls get experiance is by playing and in some games more than hold thier own against much older opposition. Keep going girls, stick together and most of all keep enjoying it!
