With temperatures set to peak at 25C this weekend, Beverley Racecourse has a hot two days of action with back to back race meetings.
Friday Evening will see the horse racing get under-way at 6.30pm with big crowds expected to visit the Westwood course as summer finally arrives in the UK.
On Friday there will also be extra entertainment laid on by the course, Beverley Races Kate McKee said;
“We have teamed up with Tribfest and will be holding a silent disco on the Friday. There will be two DJs and we have 500 head sets.”
“We are hoping people will have an epic night on the Lavender Lawn!”
On Saturday, Beverley Racecourse are already warning people to get there early if they want to get in, Kate said;
“Plans are already in place to open the doors for the enclosure from 11.30am to cope with the demand, it may be a regular race day, but we are expecting huge crowds with it being he weekend and great weather forecast.”
July’s ‘Super Saturday’ is one of the biggest meetings held at Beverley and pulls in crowds from across the region.
Combined with the good weather and the influx of visitor’s traders in the town can also look forward to a bumper weekend of trade.
The first race on Saturday is at 1.55pm with the final race of the afternoon taking place at 5.25pm.
