Beverley Armed Forces Day proved to be a big hit this weekend.
Thousands of people passed through the town centre to enjoy the event that celebrates the Armed Forces past, present and future.
For one local man, Bill Rice a life time wish came true as he had the privilege of opening the bar to allow the parade through.
The parade which was made up of personnel from the camp at Lecconfield saw them exercise their right to walk through town with bayonets fixed.
Organiser Cllr David Elvidge was delighted with the event which concluded with an open-air concert held in Saturday Market.
“Over all the event was a success for me the pivotal moment was watching the combined services from DST parade through Beverley. We were honoured to host the Freedom Parade at our event.”
