Bransby Horses Wins June Charity Of The Month

Last month members of the Beverley Building Society chose Bransby Horses Rescue and Welfare to be named charity of the month and collect a £250 donation from the Society.

The Bransby Horses charity work to relieve cruelty to horses, ponies and donkeys, to protect them from unnecessary suffering and to promote knowledge of their care and treatment among the public.

Between the two sites in Lincolnshire and Herefordshire the charity currently have over 400 animals in their care – most of which have been rescued from situations of cruelty or neglect. The site in Bransby near Lincoln is open to the public 356 days a year offering talks, guided tours and activities for the whole family.

Holly Hart, Education and Communications Officer from Bransby Horses said:

“Bransby Horses are honoured to be Beverley Building Society’s Charity of the month. We are lucky to have such fantastic supporters who allow us to continue our vital work here at the sanctuary. Your donation of £250 will go a long way to providing the rehabilitation our equines so desperately need, thank you!”

The Beverley Building Society launched the Charity of the Month competition in January 2012 to give members the chance to decide how their Society should support the local community.
