Beverley Town Dynamo FC U10s played their first ever game at their newly created home at Bishop Burton College this weekend.
Their chosen visitor’s for this inaugural fixture was the Grimsby Town FC Academy U10, who brought with them a squad used to playing at the very highest standard.
Not phased by the occasion the Dynamos gave a good account of themselves in two matches that were played at great tempo throughout and with no shortage of skill fromeither side, Grimsby eventually winning both games by single goal margins 1-0 and 2-1.
Beverley Town manager John Galloway said:
” This was a fantastic experience for our players, not only against a side of such high quality but also playing on our new prestigious pitch for the first time ”
” To be fair our opponents had that extra bit of class on the day and deserved their wins, but we equipped ourselves well and will take lots of positives from the fixture ”
” We have a few more friendly games coming up to help bed ourselves in, but in truth, the boys just want the season to start now!”
