Beverley Fashion Week is in full swing and Tuesday evening saw the first of the events take place in the town at Unique Hair Salon.
The idea of Beverley Fashion Week is to highlight what independent business’s connected to the fashion industry in Beverley have to offer.
Local designer Shelly Ashley whose designs sell around the world is a keen supporter of the event, she told HU17.net;
“Tonight was a chance to showcase the unique fashions available in Beverley on the high street.”
“As an event it helps me raise awareness of my shop in the town and show off my latest collection of handmade vintage clothing.”
Salon manager Danny Smith was delighted with the evening, he told HU17.net;
“It has been fantastic. It was a really wonderful evening all round, and it was great to see our clients come along and take part too.”
“Our team of stylists did really with the demonstrations, and it was very good to work with The Vintage Shop and Eyesite Opitcians. The cocktails also went down a treat too!”
Michelle Blackford who organises Beverley Fashion Week was also very positive about the night she said;
“What a great night, there has been a real buzz around the place, the guys at Unique have hosted a top evening bringing together fashion, beauty and style into one night.”
“Louise Shepherd did a brilliant with the models make up creating a summer look, and the clothes and hair were stunning.”
Today with see Beverley Fashion Week host a live cat walk show through the heart of the town centre.
