Customers of the Beverley Building Society voted for local group – Music Time to win the Charity of the Month competition in July.
Each month the Society offers the chance for customers to choose from one of three local charities and the winner is awarded with a £250 donation.
Last month’s winner – Music Time run playgroups, toddler groups and baby groups across the Beverley and East Yorkshire area to introduce music and singing to youngsters up to the age of 4. Led by professional musicians, the one-hour sessions are designed to
stimulate and educate through interactive music-making and singing.
The popular classes are said to help pre-schoolers with musical awareness, co-ordination, memory, listening and social skills.
The Beverley Building Society’s Charity of the Month Competition is now in its second year of running and has so far donated a total of £4,500 to charities within the local community.
