Hull Kingston Rovers U16s were beaten by their rivals Hull FC 36-24 at the MS3 Craven Park.
Hundreds of people turned out to watch a cracking game of rugby league which had plenty of local pride at steak on the pitch.
Hull Kingston Rovers featured a Beverley Braves Joe Wardill who for this game played in the centre.
Rovers started the game well enough taking the lead though Hull FC hit back with three quick scores going into the break with a half time lead.
In the second period both sides could have won the match but with the game posed at 30-24 a Rivers mistake gave the advantage to their rivals Hull FC who scored to all but end the contest.
This was the final match on the season for the U16s, this Sunday the U19s and the senior teams from the respective clubs both face each other at the MS3 Craven Park.
