Keiran Franciosys, St Nicholas Primary School, Beverley, newly promoted to the Myton league, FC Sutton U11’s reached the final of the East Coast Beach tournament at Bridlington.
They reached the final by beating AFC Kingston 3-1 who played some good football but were clearly not as strong as their victors.
Despite FC Sutton being beaten 1-0 in the final by an under-13s team they remained strong throughout the whole tournament and played some good, classy passing football The strong defence was hard to crack playing brilliant defensive football.
Other players played some tricky football, passing and attacking the ball well and keeping the opposition at bay.
Midfielder Kieran Francoisy and Parents Player of the Year for a 3rd successive year played a blinder in goal for the first time for FC Sutton saving a number penalties due to regular goalie Jack being injured.
His skill and determination, and his shot-stopping ability, kept FC Sutton’s goals conceded to a minimum.
Keiran is now looking to add to his silverware in season with saw FC Sutton climb 4 divisions in 4 consecutive seasons and have now reached the summit of the Hull Boys Sunday Football League and will run out in the Myton League for the first time this coming season.
