Vauxhall Invites Locals To Share Drive-Time Tales For 110th Anniversary

The British population has a long-standing love affair with their cars, with many considering them to be part of the family.

Indeed, many owners up and down the land have an undeniable attachment to their set of wheels, which is why local dealer, Evans Halshaw, is encouraging the community of Beverley to share their stories, all in celebration of Vauxhall Motors’ 110th anniversary.

To mark this milestone in the manufacturer’s history, the British car brand has launched a microsite entitled Vauxhall and I; a collection of personal stories that celebrate the people who have loved and driven their cars since 1903.

As such, the retailer on Swinemoor Lane is inviting past and present Vauxhall owners to visit www.vauxhallandi.co.uk and add their very own drive-time tales, precious pictures and remarkable memories to the ever-growing online compendium.

What’s more, all those who upload their stories to the dedicated website before 19th August will be entered into a prize draw to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Goodwood Revival*festival, which takes place this September.

Aron Brown, Dealer Principal at Evans Halshaw, comments: “A car is not just a means of getting from A to B; a vehicle will very often reflect the personality of its owner and more often than not will be at the heart of their personal journeys, as well as helping to make precious memories.

“With this year marking Vauxhall’s 110th anniversary, the launch of Vauxhall and I is not simply a testament to Vauxhall cars, but to the way in which they have touched people’s lives.”

The Vauxhall and I website has been developed to showcase a broad compilation of personal stories, anecdotes and unique photographs that share the memories and relationships people have with their Vauxhall cars, from the earliest days of the company right through to the current day.

Aron Brown concludes: “We’re keen to encourage as many people in the local area as possible to contribute their tales and play their part in uncovering Vauxhall’s fascinating history.”

Everyone can share their stories through the Vauxhall and I platform at www.vauxhallandi.co.uk.
