Beverley Town Cricket Club Ladies section travelled to lowly Treeton with a weak team but were shocked when they were skittled out for 60 in 15 overs.
A great spell of bowling by Liz Lazenby ( 6 for 28) ripped the heat out of the Beverley team with only Amy Halloran (17) reaching double figures.
She was unlucky to be run out when a throw meant for the bowlers stumps missed and hit the strikers end leaving her several yards short when attempting a quick single.
In reply Treeton lost 2 quick wickets and then a third but it was Liz Lazenby (17 no) and Sarah Ulliott (19no) who built the target showly in 25.2 overs.
All the Beverley bowlers did well with Amy Halloran (2 for 18) getting two wickets and a brilliant run out by Abbie Moriarty for the third.
A disappointing day for Beverley but great day for Treeton registering their first win of the season.
Beverley will need to prepared well for next week when they visit New Farnley.
