Ricardo Confident Ahead Of Clash With Sculcoates

Beverley-Town--0141

Beverley Town Football Club will be looking to make it six points from six when they host Sculcoates Amateurs this evening at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

On Saturday, Town their Humber Premier League campaign off to winning start beating Hornsea Town 2 – 0 with goals from Richard Gibson and Danny Norton.

Gaffer Dave Ricardo knows only too well the importance of the match for Beverley as they look to retain their title.

Speaking with HU17.net ahead of the game Ricardo said;

“This is massive for both sides, even so, early in the season. We are hoping to get plenty of support tonight at Norwood as this made a real difference last year.”

“We beat Sculcoates three times last season and hope to continue this run against perennial title challengers.”

“We are missing Adam Nicholson who is injured and Luke Thompson, who has signed for Barton Town, apart from that I have a fully fit squad to select from.”

Ricardo has hinted at a formation change for the game switching from a 442 to a more aggressive 433 formation.

He added;

“Our intention is to win the match. It will not be easy but confidence is high among the players.”

Kick off for tonight’s Humber Premier League game is 6.15pm
