Beverley Town Cricket Club first team earned a twenty three points after a poor score made getting any kind of result look unlikely.
Beverley 1st XI made 176 before being bowled out in the 50th over at the Norwood Recreation Ground a total many felt was far too low.
Top scorers for the home side were Mike Cooke (34) and Matthew Mudd (26).
Acomb however, were unable to chase down the score and were held at 138 for 9 from their 50 overs.
So Town claimed a total of 23 points from a possible 30 which sees Beverley move up to sixth place in the York Senior League Premier Division.
Beverley are now just seven points behind third-placed Dunnington.
