Beverley Town Cricket Club 2nd XI continued to cling on to York Senior League Division 1 survival when they gained 18 points from a losing draw at the Norwood Recreation Ground against Folkton & Flixton.
The visitors made 217 for 7 from their 48 overs as Pete Parnaby (3-33) and Under 15 player Brad Graham (2-29) put in good shifts with the ball.
Town were given a great start by Mike Cooke and Ben Fish as they put together a century opening stand which led to hopes of a rare win but when Fish went for 54, shortly followed by Cooke for 41 there followed a by now familiar collapse.
An unbeaten 22 from Parnaby at the end of the innings took Town past the 200 mark as they closed with maximum batting points and a 90% draw at 201 for 8.
