The FA Tesco Skills is a unique football coaching programme that gives 5-11s of all abilities the opportunity to get active, learn new football skills and enjoy the game.

They have been providing high-quality football coaching courses for children since 2007 and have to date provided over 3 million child places on the programme, aiming to reach 4.7 million children by 2014.

On Wednesday 28th August, the FA Tesco Skills Programme ran a free and fun football day at in Beverley at Longcroft School.

As with previous soccer schools it was popular and was full to capacity with lots of local children developing their football skills through sessions and matches whilst making new friends.

The day was kindly supported by the local Tesco Community Champion Dave Ryley, who provided healthy juice and fruity refreshments for the children to encourage healthy living.

The FA Tesco Skills Programe also run an after school Skill Centre, which can be booked online at www.thefa.com/tescoskills.
