On Sunday 25th August, a party of athletes from Beverley AC travelled over to Robin Hood’s Bay for the Annual ‘Smuggler’s Trod’ challenge event.
This is a 25 mile route over the North Yorkshire Moors, with a shorter route of 17 miles if preferred, with a choice of running or walking.
The first Beverley Runner home was Ian Boardley, who finished 3rd in the long event with a time of 4 hrs 13 minutes, followed by Darren Rodmell, who was 9th in 4 hrs 25 mins.

On the short route Mike Atkins was the 1st Beverley Member in 4:06, followed by Jacqui Dickinson 4:40, Dianne Coleman 4:40, Denise Thompson, Sarah Tock 5:15, Ivor Roberts 5:15, Christine Whitehouse 5:15 & Sylvia Boardley 6:14.
