A new look Beverley RUFC Bandits side that feature a host of former rugby league players destroyed Barton at Beaver Park.
Steve Davidson was just one the players who have made a controversial switch from rugby league to rugby union over the summer, crossing the tracks to join the Beavers.
Davidson slotted in perfectly scoring two tries on his début and showed great creative play and strength throughout the game.
Davidson was wooed back to Beverley by former Blue and Gold’s team mate Aaron Clark, Davidson told HU17.net;
“I started my rugby career as a child at Beaver Park, I am not getting any younger and wanted to come back to place where it all started for me.”
“Given my technical knowledge, I was put in the centre which suited me and allowed me the freedom to show off my creative side.”
“It was great to get on the score sheet but for me the highlight of the day was be playing again at Beaver Park.”
The Bandits will be at home again next week as they host Pocklington III, if they are able to continue with this form they may just well prove to be tough side for people to beat.
Final Score : Beverley Bandits 65 Barton 5
