Skirlaugh beat East Hull as the two Hull sides went head to head in well attended rugby league derby.
Both clubs are hovering dangerously close above the bottom three and needed the points to keep out of the relegation mix.
Skirlaugh was to triumph on the day as they beat their rivals from East Hull 34 – 20 to keep enough daylight between themselves and Ince Rose in the league table.
Next weekend, Skirlaugh will travel to Wigan to take on Ince Rose while Siddal in the National Conference League.
