Beverley Town Academy made light work of Molescroft Rangers smashing seven past their rivals in the derby at Leconfield.
First-team manager Dave Ricardo was there to watch the youngsters of Beverley rip through Rangers as they went on a goal rampage in their first fixture of the East Riding County League.
Craig Muirhead got a three of the goals, Niall Ringrose a brace while Dan Earl and Ryan Tranmer also scored for Beverley Town as they cruised to the top of the table.
Ricardo told HU17.net after the game;
“The Academy players have trained extremely hard over the last ten weeks so it was nice to see them in a competitive game.”
“The one element that has stood out for me is that the group has a fantastic attitude and commitment.”
“Coupled with their ability I can see further wins such as Saturday throughout the season.”
Both sides now have a couple of weeks to recover before they next kick a ball. Beverley Town are away to Middleton Rovers and for Rangers, it is a home game as they entertain Priory Athletic at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
