Beverley Lions Help Local Family

Beverley Lions Help Local Family

This month the Beverley Lions have responded to a request from the local health visitor team to help a young family who have a 22 month-old daughter with cerebral palsy.

Filey Lions and the Beverley Lions were quick to offer the use of a caravan that located near the town centre of Filey.

On Friday 5th September, Beverley Lions President Les Ford met with the family from Beverley Claire & Richard and their beautiful daughter Holly, and handed them the holiday in the caravan along with some spending money so the family could buy something for Holly.

The Beverley Lions club work hard all year round organizing a number of events that include the Bonfire on the West Wood, The Fun Run on New Years Day, a Golf Day at Driffield along with other events throughout the year raising funds to pay for things like this that benefit the community.

This gift from the Lions was only made possible by the kind donations made to the Lions club by the local people of Beverley.
