A good-sized crowd was at Beverley Racecourse for the last but one meeting of the season.
On an afternoon that saw sun replaced by dark black clouds, followed by rain before returning to sunshine but all in all it was quite enjoyable afternoon of horse racing at the Westwood track.
On the track, A Star In My Eye ridden by Tom Evans, in the dark blue with an orange star won the Progressive Stakes at Tootepool Handicap stakes.
Beverley & East Riding Golf Club were at the course to, the morning saw the club host their annual Captains Charity AM/AM competition.
This year the golfers were raising money for the FiND a Beverley based charity that aim to improve the lives of people with severe learning disabilities.
The final meeting of the racing season at Beverley will take place on Tuesday 24th September. Doors open from midday with the first race setting off about 2pm.
