Members of the Beverley Building Society last month voted for Cherry Tree Community Association as the August Charity of the Month winner.
Each month the Society offers the chance for customers to choose from one of three local charities and the winner is awarded with a £250 donation.
Cherry Tree Community Association provide services and activities for children in Beverley, taking on projects such as community health, an advice service and a play-group. They also provide a weekly ‘Time out for Women’ group, as well as before and after school childcare for four local schools.

The Beverley Building Society’s Charity of the Month competition is now in its second year and has so far raised a grand total of £5,000 for local charities such as the Cherry Tree Community Association.
