The Beverley Lions handed over a donation of £500 to the Beverley and District Talking Newspaper.
A free service the Beverley and District Talking Newspaper distribute local news on audio CD’s to people who the community who have issues and cannot read for themselves.
At a short ceremony at the Beverley Memorial Hall after the Lions Senior Citizens Concert a cheque for £500 was handed over to Richard Grayson, chair of the Beverley and District Talking Newspaper by Les Ford from the Lions.
The money that was donated will be used by the group to purchase a laptop that will help them continue their good work in the community.
