This Sunday the Beverley Food Festival will take place in the centre of Beverley.
The event officially opens at 10am and will feature a hundred stalls that will all be selling a variety produce from the local area.
Other key attractions include the cookery theatre which is housed inside a giant marquee on Saturday Market.
Local chefs, Jason Rowe from Rebel’s Smokehouse, John Robinson from Whites, Thierry Condette of TC Patisserie, Michael Flower and David Nowell from the Tickton Grange Hotel and James Mackenzie from the Pipe & Glass Inn will all be giving food demonstrations.
Jason Rowe said;
“I cannot say what I will be doing for during my slot in the food theatre, people will have to wait and see. What I will tell you is that it will American style cooking with locally sourced ingredients.”
Jason is very positive about food and is massive supporter of the event he added;
“Rebel’s Smokehouse are delighted to be supporting the Beverley Food Festival. We were more than happy to put up a prize, a MeetMeatEat Platter for 4 which people can win by giving the organiser their feedback about the event.”
“This year’s food festival arrives a good time for us as it is the same weekend we have launch our new breakfast menu.”
Rebel’s Smokehouse has now been open for just over twelve weeks, Jason says things have been incredible since changing the style of the restaurant, he said;
“The past few months have been amazing and our style is proving very popular. This coming Monday we will have free live entertainment too as we welcome The Kingstown Blues Band to the Smokehouse.”
The Beverley Food Festival is one of the biggest events in the town pulling thousands of people each year.
With special guests on hand throughout the day from BBC Radio Humberside the Beverley Food Festival promises to be a great day for all the family.
This year the Beverley Real Ale Festival has joined forces with the Beverley Food Festival too adding yet more locally produced products to a great event.
