Dixon Brothers Secure Points For Town At Norwood

A goal in each half was enough to secure Beverley Town Reserves all three points at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

Town beat Holme Rovers 2 – 1 thanks to goals from Matthew Dixon and Mike Dixon to keep the pressure on the sides above them in the East Riding County League Premier Division.

Manager Ed Grady was full of praise for his players, he told HU17.net;

“This was an important result for us, having lost back to back games in the cup it was important we got back on track with a win.”

“The back four were quality throughout the game and Phil Gardener impressed me with his quality in the final third.”

Town now have a two week layoff before they again have a home game this time against the current league leaders St George’s FC.

Final Score: Beverley Town Reserves 2 Holme Rovers 1
