Molescroft Rangers continued their good run of form with a 4 – 0 win at the Beverley Leisure Centre over Middleton Rovers.
Rangers have won each of their four matches since their opening-day defeat and are not top of the East Riding County League.
Goals from Joe Coates, Mike Nicholson, Danny Nichols and an own goal were enough to secure the points for the home side.
Ranger’s boss James Healey told HU17.net after the game;
“This was a good a performance again by the lads, not only have we won, but we have kept a clean sheet.”
Next weekend, Rangers will face a much tougher test as they take on the Lord Nelson in the derby, Healey added;
“I am under no illusions here. Nelson will be a big test for us and one of the hardest games we play all season. If we come away with something that will be a bonus.”
This win should give Rangers a massive boost going into the derby but there is no question the Lord Nelson remains firm favourites to win the game.
