The nights are drawing in, there is a definite chill in the air, conkers are falling – it’s that time of year again and Halloween is fast approaching.
To celebrate this highlight in the calendar of countless children, something spooky is coming to Beverley on Saturday 26th October.
Blue Canoe, design and marketing, are hosting the first-ever Beverley pumpkin carving competition, it should be a frighteningly fangtastic and the proceeds of which will go to The Beverley Christmas Lights Appeal.
Beverley residents, businesses and schools all have a chance to show off their artistic talents and win some brilliant prizes which have been kindly donated by local businesses.
These include:
- Sweet treats
- Halloween costumes
- Fruit Baskets from Fresh and Fruity
- Chocolate Treats from The White Rabbit
- Offer 3 meal deal from Le Perla
- Crayons and coloring items from The Stationery Box
- A meal voucher from Lucia
And much, much more.
To enter bring your already carved pumpkin, between 9am and noon, to the Blue Canoe stand on Saturday 26th October at Beverley Saturday Market where your entry will be judged by public vote. An entry donation of £2.00 per pumpkin applies.
If you are a local business and would like your logo displayed on a pumpkin at this event, organisers can supply a pumpkin and carve it for a small
donation of £10 which will go to the Beverley Christmas Lights Appeal and the Christmas Lights Switch On Night which takes place this year on Friday November 29th.
