Missing Person - Beverley

Police are currently searching for an elderly lady from Woodmansey, Beverley after being reported missing by family last night.

75-year-old Mrs Phyllis Malton from Woodmansey, Beverley was last seen at 1400hrs on Friday 25 October 2013 at her home address.

A visitor to her address at 1930hrs yesterday evening discovered she was not home and her front door was left insecure.

Mrs Malton’s family initially conducted a search for her, however at 2216hrs last night they reported her missing to the police.

Phyllis Malton suffers from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson Disease and is deemed frail.

Mrs Malton is described as 5 ft 6 ins tall, with shoulder length grey hair and of a slim build. She was last seen wearing a large wooley cardigan and black trousers. It is not known if she had a coat or any money with her.

Extensive searches have been conducted overnight and the police helicopter is currently searching for her, along with all available officers from within the East Riding.

It is vitally important Mrs Malton is located as soon as possible due to her age, illnesses and the October weather conditions.
