Motor Trade Partnership Is A 'Great' Opportunity Say Beverley Motor Works

A new scheme relating to the motor industry has prompted a positive reaction from local firm Beverley Motor Works.

This week an event was held to launch the East Yorkshire Motor Trade Partnership, an initiative between the motor trade and trading standards that will both work together to improve the overall level of service for customers.

Richard Hayes from Beverley Motor Works said;

“After attending the launch with other quality garages from the East Riding Area it is clear that the Motor Trade Partnership is a great opportunity to build a much stronger relationship with the OFT and to increase the businesses knowledge of the customer and supplier rights. “

With in excess of 34.5 million vehicles on the roads in the UK many find the experience of dealing with a motor trade a difficult one, East Riding of Yorkshire Council Trading Standards team are hoping the new scheme will help offer consumers reassurances on local level.

Councillor Jackie Cracknell said;

“There’s no escaping the fact cars are going to cost money and when parting with hard-earned cash, customers want to know they are receiving good value for money and a reliable high-quality service.”

Beverley Motor Works, who are based on Annie Reed Road already pride themselves on the quality of and work and service they offer their customers. They do however clearly see the value of such a scheme.

Richard added;

“We already offer our customers the high level of service that they expect but for new potential customers the association with the OFT will instil confidence that our business is happy to be audited by them and to also work closer with them in sharing our best practices.”
