Members of Beverley Rotary Club will be joined by Father Christmas and his Sleigh this evening at the Tesco store in Beverley.
Tonight is the first of five dates in the town that will see Santa appear at Asda, Tesco, Morrison’s and Aldi.
Malcolm Fleming of the Beverley Rotary Club said;
“This week we will be collecting for St Andrews Children’s Hospice which is based in Grimsby however it supports children in this area.”
“Given the poor weather in recent years we have had to rethink how we do things to ensure children still get to Father Christmas so we have agreed some dates with local super markets and Santa.
The Beverley Rotary Club would also like to thank members of the public for their support at the recent Festival of Christmas.
With the help of Santa raised they raised over £270 for the charity Candlelighters at the event.
