Beverley Town continued to the keep the pressure on Humber Premier League leaders Reckitts with a fine win over Hornsea Town.
Town scored seven goals as they made light work of the boys from the coast to claim all three championship points.
Rob Northen scored four with Asa Pardoe, Michael O’Connell and Andrew Stott all getting a single goal each.
Beverley Town Manager Dave Ricardo said;
“We managed to perform well on a heavy pitch and having to make two first half substitutions due to injury.”
“From my memory it’s the heaviest win against Hornsea who are usually a tough opponent.”
“Our squad today was the strongest we have ever had meaning that myself, Ben Thompson, Rich Gibson and Jamie Waltham didn’t make the squad and we had the luxury of having Jonny Ricardo and Ryan Nichols as unused subs.
“We are getting to the stage of the season where games comes thick and fast meaning that the quality and size of the squad puts us at an advantage.”
Next weekend Beverley will again be at the Norwood Recreation Ground when they host Scarborough Athletic Reserves.
Final Score: Beverley Town 7 Hornsea Town 2
