The Lord Nelson have returned to the top of division two of the East Riding County League after they beat Driffield Evening Institute Reserves 4- 0 at Longcroft School.
Goals from Shaun Foster, Matty Littlefield, Ash Grayston and Mike Boynton were enough to secure all three points for the home side.
Manager Terry Jackson said after the game;
“We never really got out of third gear today but were still able to control the game. Again our defence was solid and the performance by Grayston was first class.”
“It was also good to see Boynton get such a great goal. I was thought Foster could have given us more, although he scored it was an average game from him.”
Next weekend the Lord Nelson will hit the road as they face FC Georgies Bar, a win would see them open up a three point lead over local rival Molescroft Rangers at the top of the table.
Final Score: Lord Nelson 4 Driffield Evening Institute Reserves 0
