Dave Ricardo is calling for the people of Beverley to show their appreciation and be proud of what has been achieved at Beverley Town Football Club.
This weekend Ricardo will take Humber Premier League Champions deep into West Yorkshire as they take on the current West Riding
Champions Rimington FC in the semi final of the Northern Counties Senior Cup Competition.
Ricardo told Hu17.net;
“This is the most important game Beverley Town Football Club have been involved in for many many years. It demonstrates how far the club has come in the past two season.”
“When I took the role as manager 18 months ago the goal was to bring a higher standard of football and for local players to have the chance to play in prestigious games at the highest possible level.”
“We do not know much about Rimington FC but our previous matches in this competition have offered a far greater challenge than that we face in the Humber Premier League games week in week out.”
“It is a great testament to the hard work of the coaching staff and the players that we have come this far and are just one step away from the final.”
Beverley Town qualified by winning the Humber Premier League title earning the right to represent the county.
Beverley Town will be missing Adam Nicholson, Jamie Waltham, Matty Start and Jamie Forrester but do recall Danny Bunch and Billy Igleston for the trip to West Yorkshire.
With no game last week the squad are well rested and the manager is quietly confident they can get a result this Saturday.
