Children and staff at St John of Beverley RC Primary School in Beverley enjoyed a belated World Book Day.
To ensure maximum participation the school held their World Book Day a day later as over 120 children and staff members dressed as characters from their favourite books.
Head Teacher Angela Nicholl lead by example as she dressed as the White Witch from the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Angela said;
“The children and their parents and the staff have put a huge effort into our celebrations for World Book Day.”
“We celebrate this day to try to instill a love of reading and books in our children. Our thanks go to everyone who has helped to make this such a fun day.”
