Summer Courses In New Part Time Prospectus

Summer Courses In New Part Time Prospectus

East Riding College’s new part-time course guide is out now, listing courses across a range of subject areas which take place during the summer term.

The guide covers courses leading to a qualification in subjects from childcare to health and safety, and a selection of “community learning” courses which enable learners to try out a subject for fun or before going on to an accredited course.

Courses are free to people on jobseeker’s allowance, employment support allowance (work-related activity group) and any other state benefit, if the course is intended to help them back into work.

People aged 19 to 23 are entitled to free courses at level two and three, as long as it is their first course at that level, and a number of free English and mathematics courses are also available.

Principal Derek Branton said: “The summer term is the ideal time to sample one of our shorter courses before going on to a course which results in a qualification from September.

“Our latest course guide features nearly 100 courses which can help you in your career or simply enable you to learn about a subject because you are interested in it.”
