When You Wish Upon A Star has become the latest good cause to benefit from the Beverley Building Society Charity of the Month competition.
When You Wish Upon A Star primary aim is to grant the Wishes of children suffering from life-threatening illnesses and have granted over 14,500 wishes for some very brave and courageous children and their families.
Michael Plaster, Marketing Manager at Beverley Building Society said:
“We are delighted that When You Wish Upon A Star has been voted as the Society’s Charity of the Month by our customers and hope that the donation goes towards supporting them in the excellent work they do.”
Mrs. Pat Wright who collected the donation on behalf of the charity said;
“On behalf of When You Wish Upon A Star we would like to say a huge thank you to the customers of Beverley Building Society who kindly voted for When You Wish Upon A Star to receive the funds for March’s ‘Charity of the Month’ nomination.”
“When You Wish Upon A Star is a small wish granting charity, dedicated to the lives of making dreams come true for children with terminal and life-threatening illnesses.”
“The money received from Beverley Building Society will be used to make a local deserving child’s dream to come true, whether that be to visit the real Santa in Lapland, have a memorable family holiday or to meet their favourite star or celebrity.”
“On behalf of the child who will benefit from this, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
