Beverley Town Academy and the Lord Nelson shared the spoils after the sides played out a 2-2 draw in the East Riding County League.
The Lord Nelson who have already won the league were in control of the game though could not beat the Town in the derby.
Goals for the Nelson came from Shaun Foster and Danny Mackevych, Nelson manage Terry Jackson said;
“I thought we deserved to win as we bossed a lot of the game but Beverley Town held out for the point, fair play to them.”
“I just would like to congratulate my team on finishing a season undefeated and would like to wish Beverley Town Academy the best of look for next season.”
“They gave us a little push through the season but we proved to strong overall for their young lads.”
The Lord Nelson return to action in the week when they meet Hodgsons FC in the H E Dean Cup this Thursday at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
