The Lord Nelson have booked their place in the final of the League Junior Cup final are they thrashed Roos 10 – 0.
Goals came a number of players, Adam White scored a hat-trick; Zak Young bagged a brace while James Chadburn, Phil Skitt, Darren Spruce and Matty Littlefield all scored a goal each as the Beverley side romped to victory at Hill Top.
Speaking after the game, Jackson told HU17.net;
“We played very well throughout the game our aim was to reach the final, and we did that with ease. From the very beginning, we took control of the game and got the job done.”
“I felt we superior in every department. We were more powerful, were quicker, more skilful, more creative. They were just no match for us.”
Shaun Foster scooped the man of the match; the gaffer was full of praise for player saying;
“Foster had a hand in everything tonight. He may not have scored, but he created space and created chances for the others his vision was on another level and he bossed it out there.”
The Lord Nelson who won the East Riding County League by 11 points will now face local rival Beverley Town in the final in May.
Jackson added;
“We have played them twice this season with both games ending as draw. I think we have enough to beat them and given the fact it is a derby the lads will be up for it.”
The sides last played one another just a couple of week’s ago with the match ending 2-2 one way or another the sides will be separated in the final.
